Which exam are you preparing for?
How the readiness score works
Your score out of 100 is calculated from four factors: how much time you have before your exam, how many practice questions you've completed, your average practice score, and whether you've reviewed the official content outline. Each factor is weighted based on what correlates most strongly with passing on the first attempt. Candidates who score 72 or above on the readiness check and are consistently averaging 75%+ on practice tests are statistically well-positioned to pass.
What each score band means
72–100 — Exam Ready. You have done the work. Focus only on weak spots and take 2–3 timed practice exams before exam day. Do not cram the night before.
48–71 — Almost Ready. You are close but a few targeted sessions will make the difference between passing and retaking. Identify your 2–3 weakest topics and drill them specifically.
24–47 — Building Readiness. You are making progress but not ready to schedule yet. Commit to consistent daily study and work through the full question bank systematically.
0–23 — Not Ready Yet. Give yourself at least 6–8 weeks before scheduling. Starting with the official content outline so you know exactly what the exam covers will save hours of misdirected study.

Common questions
How do I know if I'm ready for my trade licensing exam?
Use the readiness check above — it takes under 2 minutes. Most candidates who score 72+ and are averaging 75% or above on practice tests are ready to schedule.
What practice score should I aim for before the real exam?
Aim for a consistent 75–80% or higher. Most trade licensing exams require 70–75% to pass — you want a comfortable buffer for real exam-day nerves.
How many practice questions should I complete?
First-time pass candidates typically complete 500 or more questions. Volume builds pattern recognition — you start to see through trick wording and common traps.
How long should I study before my exam?
Most working tradespeople need 4–10 weeks at 30–60 minutes per day. Consistency beats marathon sessions. Stop studying the night before your exam.
