California Security Guard Notes
California requires a Guard Card from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Training includes 8 hours pre-assignment, 16 hours within 30 days, and 16 hours within 6 months. Powers of arrest training is required. Armed guards need a Firearms Permit on top of the Guard Card.
